The Pot Food & Wine

Corn and coriander fritters with chilli jam; $14.00
Crispy golden fritters of sweet corn and coriander and a healthy slather of chilli jam to go with each bite. Absolutely divine. I’d like a whole bowl of these please!

Salmon tartare, fresh green peas, mint, goats curd and lemon oil; $18.00

Pan seared barramundi fillet, fennel, cauliflower puree and caper butter; $25.00
Serving size was rather small but surprisingly very filling. Smooth and sweet velvet cauliflower puree to cut through the sharp and salty caper butter… I just wished there was a bit more puree cause that caper butter packed a salty punch along with the salty and crispy barramundi skin!

Pot’s roast Berkshire pork belly with condiments (for 2); $55.00
Honestly, I’m quite disappointed by the serving size of the pork belly… it was enough to just fill up one person, let alone two as per the menu.

Mini black sesame ice cream and halva cone; $4.00
They weren’t joking when they called this a mini ice cream! One mouthful was all it took to knock off the ice cream part and another for the halva cone… As I was about to taste the halva cone, the strangers quick fingers swiped in and wolfed it down… Hmph! Apparently I was saved from unnecessary calories… so should I be saying ‘thank you’?

Dessert Story

Mango snow ice; $9.90
A fluffy mound of mango flavoured snow ice with fresh mango pieces, mango puree/syrup and sweet mango popping pearls. For all you mango lovers out there, this would be right up your alley albeit a bit too sweet for me! Those popping pearls kinda sent the dessert over the edge in terms of sweetness though. o.O Personally, I’d stick to the green tea snow ice.

The Curious Squire

Zucchini fritters; $9.50
Tried my hand at something ‘healthier’ whilst we snacked and beered at the Squire, unfortunately these golden fritters had too much batter resulting in a thick bland and stodgy bar snack.
