Let’s welcome the new kid on the block… The Crepe’s Story! Situated within Adelaide’s Rundle Mall strip (Hindley St end – across the Myer Centre/Lush store entrance), this little crepe bar is bright and frilly… and pink, very pink (I suppose they’re trying to push the theme of “sweet/cute” with all the pink and frills – I geddit).

Plastic figurine crepe replications
There were a handful of people standing outside the tiny joint, many stared at the window display of plastic crepe replications either intrigued by the figurine themselves or the array of toppings/concoctions of savoury and sweet crepes available.

Store front, employees decked out in pink uniforms, crepe batter, spreading nutella over the crepe.
C and I placed our orders in and marvel at the employees in their frilly white and pink maid like outfits with matching head bands whilst they created our crepes. A scoop of batter was poured onto the hot flat crepe pan, and with a swivel motion with a crepe spreading stick-thing, the batter spreaded out on the pan into a thin layer of crepe goodness ready for all the good stuff to go in! Chyeahhh!

Strawberry ice cream, $7.00
I ordered the Strawberry Delight (nutella and strawberries, $7.40 – not pictured). The crepe as a whole was rather underwhelming and flat. Honestly, I wish there was more to it… maybe a scoop of ice cream would have helped. Tearing the paper off the cone was also a trick in itself! Why’d they make it so hard? Or maybe I’m just incompetent when it comes to these kind of things?
I think we’re just going to stick with the crepes in china town instead. Tastier, easier to eat (hello knife and fork!) and super affordable too!

Great blog! Where are the best crepes in Adelaide? I am yet to try one here.
Thanks!
Hrms.. I’ve yet to find the ‘best’ place for crepes in Adelaide, but I do like the one from the China Town food court (the newer one that’s connected to the markets). The stall is in a corner (near the toilets), they have an iMac displaying food pictures, close to the entrance on Moonta St, and they specialise in vegetarian food. Most of their mains have fruit as well, green signage. Heheh, I really need to get their name down, that might be more helpful.. but anyhoo, I like their crepes there. Simple, no fuss and very affordable.
