Two dessert houses in the one day? Yes. I’m hardcore like that.
After arriving home from my Hahndorf day trip, I’m off again for another sugar hit at Bracegirdles – the house of fine chocolate.
The place is small and most tables are occupied with patrons enjoying a hot chocolate or a dessert to share.

Our party of 3 order a ‘Mudslide’ to share, a hot mocha and a pot of tea to soothe our spoilt bellies.

Mudslide; $13.90
Layers of meringue, fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream decorated with liquid Belgian chocolate.
Yum, what a sight – a tower of goodness!
Well what do you know; it didn’t take long for Bracegirdle’s to reel me back in for another chocolate hit. This time, I head down to the Glenelg joint with buddy in tow.

Hot chocolate with fresh strawberries, hot chocolate and iced mint chocolate.
The iced mint chocolate was icy and refreshing… but not so minty aside from the mint lolly on the side. I have yet to have a proper MINT iced chocolate, any one know where I can try my luck?

Hi, have you tried the mint iced chocolate from the Chocolate Bean? Its at 18 Union Street
Adelaide, just off Rundle St.
I haven’t been there in a while, but when I was there last – the mint iced chocolate was definitely very minty and refreshing:)
Oh.. I haven’t been there yet!
Will have to check it out and fill up on a refreshing mint ice chocolate, thanks for the heads up!
