Who doesn’t love a cheap eat? And let me tell you, it’s better, tastier and I suppose slightly healthier than your Macca’s Big Mac meal!
Feel like going out to eat but have a light wallet? Why not head into Adelaide Chinatown food courts and try something there. There’s so much to try and prices are more than affordable! For instance, Tomodachi – one of my favourite Japanese eateries in Adelaide! Such good value for such great food.

Food court filled with diners on a Friday night; Domotachi shop front.
Most notably the most popular dish on their menu – Tori Mayo.

Tori Mayo, $8.30
Teriyaki chicken with mayo, potato salad, salad, served with rice and miso soup.
The chicken is cooked just right; soft and juicy; and the sauce and mayo! Oh the sauce and mayo literally melts in your mouth. The tori mayo offers a nice variety of textures and flavours, soft creamy potato salad a contrast to the crunchy crisp salad, and finished with a light flavourful bowl of hot miso soup. Who said you couldn’t get value for money?

I have to say, I love domotachi, especially the Gyudon and miso.
Oooh.. looks like I might have to try something other than the tori mayo!
